Boca Juniors’ 2020/21 season was a turbulent yet trophy-winning campaign, marked by the challenges of the pandemic and fierce domestic competition. Managed by Miguel Ángel Russo, Boca competed strongly across multiple fronts.

They won the 2020 Copa Diego Maradona (a special tournament held after the COVID-19 suspension of the league), defeating Banfield on penalties in the final. In the 2021 Copa de la Liga Profesional, Boca reached the semifinals, losing to Racing Club on penalties.

In the Copa Libertadores 2020, they advanced to the semifinals before being eliminated by Santos. Key players included Carlos Tevez, Eduardo Salvio, and Esteban Andrada.

Overall, Boca maintained competitiveness and added silverware despite instability and fixture congestion.
